OK ... don't get too excited but...

we may have bought another house!!!

This is the new house
This is the loungeroom which is quite big, but the GIANT lounge in it kind of detracts from its size.

This is the HUGE kitchen. now if you have ever been to my house you will understand why I love this kitchen.

This is the POOL :)

Looking forward to this when the weather is warm :)

anyway we signed the contracts tonight and now we will wait and see whether it passes all the checks and finance etc... A little about the house:

It is a 3 bedroom (large rooms) brick and tile house with a big kitchen, dining, lounge, family room, patio/verandah and a nice big inground pool!

The plan - to move into our new house and with luck rent out our current house. Fingers crossed that this plan will come to fruition!

Its my Birthday ... and a trip to Melbourne!

Well yesterday was my Birthday - rememberence day. I always used to say that no one should forget my birthday since it is on rememberence day! Now before you ask - I turned the big 30! I am actually happy with this as I feel 30 is more like I am becoming an adult. Very odd that, but it is just an opinion. But then again I also felt that buying outdoor furniture made me feel like an adult too!!!!

Now to the melbourne trip...

I feel that I will need more then 1 post to really tell you all that happened, but I will start by explaining a few photos. Firstly the photo below with me looking super excited over the GIANT FRECKLE that Dad and Narelle bought for me from a lollie shop in Sassafras (I just love saying that name) kind of detracts from the above "adult" comment. But to give me credit I was still 29 in this picture!

Now - while we were in Sassafras, which is a small mountain community found in the Dandenong ranges in Victoria, we stopped at a place called Miss Marples tea room. This is where we polished off a desert known as "Vicars Folly". Unfortunaltely there is only an after shot as we were so enthralled by the dessert and the need to consume it (plus we had to gloat to all the envious stares in the tea room) that I only thought to take a pic when we had already had too much. Just to describe it (but to never really give it full credit) there is choc fudge sace and toffee caramel sauce, butterscotch ice cream, violet crumble, cream, more choc fudge (everwhere) and a strawberry and flake in top... mmmmmm... we actually shared this so not too bad, but there were some spoon wars and as Jeremy refers to it "illegal mining" for crunchie that was damaging the structure of the sundae and causing subsistance and cave ins... after this day I went to the pool (indoors and heated - we are still in Melbourne after all) and did many, many laps while Jeremy and Dad dared each other (along with all the young kids) to jump off the highest diving platform. I am proud to say that I was talked into diving off the 3 metre diving board in exchange for them doing 1 50metre pool lap!!!

Below is me cutting my cake on Melbourne Cup day - may as well have 2 Birthdays!!

In this next photo Jeremy and I are at a lookout - looking towards Melbourne city, but it is not very obvious due to the cloud/fog etc... it is kind of like wheres wally...

The Lovely Caitlyn on Melbourne cup day :)

Overall, we had a great exhausting - overeating time! We went to the races, went to Venus Bay, played Golf, ate too much, had hangovers and spent lots of time with family! So like I said... another post to update. Plus I still need to let you know all about my 30th Birthday Bash!!! :)
