Happy Mothers Day to Mummys everywhere...

and a special Happy Mothers Day to my lovely Mum Karen (pictured on the right in the photo of the left - my hens day) and my lovely mother-in-law Judy!

I am so lucky to have such a lovely mother who has always supported me and raised me to be the person that I am today. I also would like to mention here my grandmother who was also a great motherly figure in my life, unfortunately my grandmother passed away nearly 5 years ago. This was a sudden and very sad event in our lives and she is someone that I miss on a daily basis. I am very sad about the things in life that she will never see that I know would have made her happy:
  1. I am married to a lovely man (she thought that I was getting on in my early 20's when I was unmarried)
  2. I own my own home! (if she won lotto this was on her "to do" list)
  3. I have a good job and am happy
  4. My friends are married to lovely men (I know this also bothered her that they were also in their early 20's and unmarried!!
  5. seeing her great granchildren (ok - these are not here yet, but they will be one day & she wont be able to meet them)
  6. knowing any of the achievements that I am proud of - I would love to share with her the adult that I have grown into. I feel that at 24.11 years of age I was not yet an adult as yet and I have recently realised that I have since grown up lots more and I would like her to see that person.
I think that I would like to believe in a way that she already knows all this stuff..

Anyway back to mothers day - Judy, thanks heaps for raising a wonderful Son for me to marry :-) he is a great person and I feel lucky to have found someone that I enjoy spending so much of my time with.

Mum - I love you and thanks for everything that you have done for me over the years. No matter what anyone has said, remember that I am happy and I am the person that you helped shaped. :-) how could I thank you for giving me such a lovely and perfect gift. xoxox

To everyone out there - make sure you make your mums &/or the mother figures in your life know how important they are in your life and how they have helped you to become the amazing people that you are!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and wishes.

I had a lovely time on Mother's day. Any time we spend together is always enjoyable.

Nanny was very proud of you and she had no doubts you would succeed and do well in life as you have. Yes, she did worry about your unmarried state but she would not have been the "Jewish Mother" we loved so much if she wasn't always worried about something. Something I inherited I'm afraid. I miss her very much every day and think of her often.

I knew if ever I wasn't about for you that she would fill in without hesitation. Poppy took flowers to her on Mothers day for us and had a chat.

You make me very proud to be able to say I'm your Mother. I'm glad I had a hand in making you the wonderful, loving person you are today.

    Love you always,
    Mum xox
