Boot Camp!
Hands up (if you can) anyone who has attempted the exercise craze that is Boot Camp? I recently decided it would be fun to get involved in lunchtime bootcamp through work.
I was a bit scared to begin with, but after I had run until I could run no more, done a Million push-ups, sit-ups, squats, dips etc... I was feeling a little bit less scared and more exhausted beyond belief. And as if this was not enough I then joined a new gym and have attempted to follow a new fitness plan.
Although I was feeling so pumped to be getting back into shape and fit it seems my body is not so agreable! I have spent the last 3 weeks struggling with a sore throat, head cold and cough.... blah! I was so happy to feel as if I was getting fit, but lately I feel a little old - perhaps my body is just ridding itself of toxins?? yeah right..
Tonight I had to go and buy some antihistimines as my skin is super itchy from having to spend lots of time on the grass in boot camp today (sit ups, push ups and these really nasty things that require you to lie chest down on the ground, get up run, lie on the ground get up run and then lie on the ground etc.. etc...) But no - honstly I am enjoying it.. really!!!
So - all that aside I am starting to feel alot better and also feel as if I am on the right track to getting fit and fabulous! I would recommend anyone out there if you have not already done so, look at your diet and your activity levels - could you improve on them? It is not like we all need to be super fit, but we should all be healthy! :-)
